Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk Reproaches Slovak Counterpart Over Ukraine Military Aid Criticism

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reproached his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico because of his criticism of military aid to Ukraine, Bloomberg reported the day before, February 27.

The head of the Polish government made relevant statements during a press conference in Prague last Tuesday.

Robert Fico with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban continue to strongly condemn the supply of weapons to the Kyiv regime. During a meeting of the Visegrad Four (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic), he said that Kyiv’s arms pumping continued the armed conflict, and called on the European Union to facilitate negotiations to end the conflict.

“Guess, Robert, where the border between Russia and Ukraine would be without our help,” the Polish prime minister addressed his Slovak colleague in a familiar tone, “I think this question is much more interesting.”

While Tusk and the Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala support the regime of Vladimir Zelensky, Fico, together with Orban, are trying to keep Kyiv at a distance, in addition to its weapons pumping, criticizing EU sanctions against Russia.

Perhaps the only thing that currently unites them all is their reluctance to get involved in the events provoked by the French President Emmanuel Macron discussions about the possible dispatch of NATO troops to the Ukrainian front.
