Polish players outraged. EA sports FC 25 will cost us the most

Poles in first place… in the FC 25 spending ranking. Players do not hide their indignation.

On September 20, owners of the Ultimate version will begin their adventure with FC 25, and the premiere of the new part of the spiritual successor to the FIFA series is an opportunity to once again raise the issue of high game prices on Steam. Poles will pay even more for EA’s football hit than the Swiss.

We earn average, but at least we pay the most

Have you heard about the #polishourprices campaign? This is thanks to the creators from MKwadrat Podcast, who rightly drew attention to the very high prices of games in Poland, especially in the case of the Steam platform. The initiative was warmly welcomed by the Polish gaming community, which confirms petitionsigned by over 30,000 people.

Despite the development of the Polish economy, the average earnings of Poles still lag behind the standards of most countries using the euro. Unfortunately, Polish players increasingly pay more for games than citizens of other European countries. The petition was created to reach Valve and sensitize the company to the problem of unfair pricing of games on Steam in our region, which directly translates into the wealth of players’ wallets – a fragment of the petition description

I mention this because the upcoming FC 25 is another example of inflated prices on the Polish market. This was pointed out by, among others, the popular creator Bonkol – the list below clearly shows that the price in złoty is significantly higher than in euros, dollars, pounds or even Swiss francs.

Of course, it is also possible to buy more expensive ones – the console version of Ultimate without any promotions or EA Play subscription costs over PLN 500, but in this case we are talking about the complete base version for less than PLN 320.
