The Polish Ministry of Defense wants to purchase new Rosomak armored personnel carriers for the Polish army.
What is known
The information was shared by the local edition Defense24. We are talking about a contract for 250-400 armored personnel carriers in a new increased modification L (Long). If everything goes according to plan, the contract for the purchase of combat vehicles will be signed before the end of this year.
Rosomak in the L modification has a length increased from 7.8 m to 8.4 m and a tank increased by 30-40%. Thanks to the new dimensions, the quality of the buoyancy of the machine is improved. In addition, Rosomak L boasts a 610 hp Scania DC13 engine, a ZSSW-30 combat module developed by Huta Stalowa Wola and WB Electronics, as well as new hull elements.
