Russian missile fell on Polish territory and killed two people. The Polish Army is now on combat alert.
Reported CnnOn Wednesday (11/16/2022), Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said the missile that landed on Przewodów was a single strike.
Morawiecki said there is no evidence another missile was fired at Polish territory. However, Poland increased its military readiness.
“We have decided to increase the combat readiness of selected units of the Polish Armed Forces, with particular emphasis on airspace monitoring,” Morawiecki said.
“Airspace monitoring is and will be done in an enhanced way together with our allies.”
Morawiecki said Poland was conducting a thorough analysis and consultation with its allies regarding the potential use of Article 4 of the NATO Treaty, with his speech echoing the caution and calm urged by other Polish officials.
Earlier, the Polish Foreign Ministry said a “Russian-made missile” had landed in a town near the Ukrainian border and killed two people.
