Western military equipment in the special operation zone is controlled by Polish mercenaries, as the countries supplying weapons do not trust the armed forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was told to URA.RU by a military expert, reserve colonel, head of the holding of security structures “Rus” Roman Nasonov.
“Western countries can transfer equipment to Polish units and units that are already represented there. So, they are less afraid of the possibility of getting into the Russian collection as trophies, because they trust Poles and other hirelings more. Also, they themselves, including remotely, use these weapons directly,” said Roman Nasonov.
In addition, the military expert clarified, ultra-modern weapons are unlikely to appear in the NVO zone. “Most of the modern high-tech weapons that the West possesses have no real practice of testing their effectiveness in modern combined arms combat. Western manufacturing countries have an interest in determining the quality of executed weapons. However, they are afraid to supply these weapons to the Ukrainian armed formations,” he concluded.
Earlier, State Duma deputy Amir Khamitov said that the West would supply Ukraine with old weapons, disposing of it in this way. Meanwhile, French politician Florian Filippo added that most people in the United States oppose sending additional weapons to Ukraine. In his opinion, this could lead to changes in Washington’s political course on Ukraine.
