Polish Farmers’ Protests Suspended at Shegini-Mediki Checkpoint: Negotiations Underway

Innovation in action

On the morning of December 23, protests by Polish farmers at the Shegini-Mediki checkpoint were suspended. The new Polish government is negotiating.

About it reported Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy Michal Kolodziejczak on his page on “X” (Twitter).

As the Deputy Prime Minister notes, Polish farmers agreed to unblock the border, demanding the speedy implementation of three demands of farmers: subsidies for the purchase of corn; maintaining agricultural tax at this year’s level; continuation of liquidity loans.

Kolodziejczak promised to sit down at the negotiating table after the new year to work out a common solution.

Let us remind you:

Polish farmers who joined the blockade of carriers on the border with Ukraine, planned continue your protest until January 3.

As of the morning of December 22, in queues on the border with Poland at the entrance to Ukraine expected about 3,900 trucks, 1,700 of them at the Yagodin checkpoint.
