Literally: “According to available information from Polish border guards, today at about 09:00 on the territory of Poland on the road in front of the Medika checkpoint, adjacent to the Ukrainian checkpoint Shegini, blocking of traffic for freight transport resumed. In this regard, traffic complications are possible as exit from Poland and entry.”

Details: It is reported that about 800 trucks are now waiting in this direction to enter Ukraine in Poland. At the same time, the organizers of such actions in Poland stated that they do not plan to interfere with the movement of buses and passenger vehicles.

It is reported that Ukrainian border guards are now taking measures to monitor the situation, clarify interaction with Polish colleagues on the procedure for further passage of freight vehicles and the category of cargo that will be allowed across the border.

Let us remind you: From December 24, 2023, the blocking of truck traffic at the Shegini-Medika checkpoint was suspended. During this time, about 300 heavy trucks passed through the entrance to Ukraine per day.

At the checkpoints “Krakovets – Korchevaya” and “Rava-Russkaya – Grebennoye”, complications in truck traffic have continued since November 6 last year. In this connection, as of the morning of January 4, 850 trucks are waiting on these routes from the neighboring side to enter Ukraine.
