ANTARA – A seven-year-old boy from Mane District, Pidie District, Aceh, tested positive for polio, with fever symptoms accompanied by paralysis in his left leg. The child’s case of polio was found after lab results were released on Nov. 10, and he was tested positive for polio type two. Low immunization coverage coupled with poor sanitation has led to a resurgence of polio cases since Indonesia was declared polio-free in 2014. (Aprizal Rachmad/Yovita Amalia/Sizuka)
