Policy. Saône-et-Loire has already given 11 ministers to the Fifth Republic


Philippe Malaud

Mayor of Dompierre-les-Ormes then deputy for Mâconnais, Philippe Malaud sat from 1972 to 1974 in the government of Pierre Messmer. He was first Secretary of State for the Civil Service and Information Services, then briefly Minister of Information from April to October 1973. He was then Minister for the Civil Service until February 1974. Philippe Malaud died in 2007 at the age of 82.

Andre Jarrot

Figure of the Resistance, Companion of the Liberation and Mayor of Montceau-les-Mines, André Jarrot, who has held numerous parliamentary mandates in Saône-et-Loire, has been appointed Minister for Quality of Life in the Jacques Chirac government of May 28, 1974 to January 12, 1976.
