Police took away presidential candidate Boyan Rasate after he left BNT. According to sources in “Around the World and in Bulgaria”, at the request of the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office, Rasate was taken to an investigator to be charged.
He was taken to the First District Office. On Monday, the Central Election Commission lifted Rasate’s immunity.
This happened at the request of the Prosecutor General. Boyan Rasate was accused by members of the LGBTI community that he and a group of people broke into their office and caused damage.
Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted against Rasate for “indecent acts, grossly violating public order and expressing obvious disrespect for society,” the prosecutor’s office said.
They specify that Boyan Rasate was not found at his address by an investigator in order to be served with a summons.
