Police who asphyxiated George Floyd to death released after bail of more than 840,000 euros – World

Derek Chauvin, the former policeman who asphyxiated George Floyd to death, was released after paying $ 1 million bail (equivalent to 849,000 euros).

The now ex-police officer of Mineapolis, 44, was released on parole this Wednesday.

He was filmed kneeling on a man’s neck for eight minutes on 25 May this year while the detention was taking place.

Chauvin will have to appear in court in March 2021.
