In recent days there have been demonstrations of farmers in countless places around the country. This was also the case in Brabant; including at Eindhoven Airport, at the Jumbo headquarters in Veghel, but also at a logistics service provider in the same place and at the Amer power station in Geertruidenberg.

“In a few cases, the demonstrating farmers with their agricultural vehicles caused a great deal of inconvenience, and sometimes even a downright dangerous situation on our highways. Although we as a police consider the right to demonstrate to be very important, we cannot tolerate the latter cases. ”

The police say they hope that agricultural vehicles will no longer go on the highway. “We assume that everyone uses his or her common sense and that together we can prevent serious nuisance and dangerous situations.”
