Scams “on the dog”. How not to be fooled?

CERT representatives informed that for a long time they have been observing the newest method of cheating – this time “on the dog”, which aims to take over Facebook accounts. “The main pattern has remained unchanged for months. The criminals, using hijacked or fake Facebook accounts, publish entries with sensational information on various groups, which is to encourage the reader to enter the attached link. The content of the published posts and the photo used have been identical for a month. The leitmotif is a false message about the dog being hit and a request for help in identifying the perpetrator “- says CERT.

“The malicious site hosts a fake Facebook login panel, the purpose of which is to steal login credentials to a potential victim’s account. In this way, compromised accounts can then be used to further publish false entries or extort funds” – explain CERT representatives on Facebook.

It should be remembered that scammers come up with newer and newer methods of extortion money. You should be careful and under no circumstances provide your login details and your bank card number to anyone. Scammers very often they decide to extort a BLIK code using Messenger, when they write to the friends of the person whose account they previously took over with a request for a loan using this option.
