The police of the Traffic Enforcement Team (VHT), in collaboration with the Motor Surveillance Service (MSD) of the Suriname Police Force (KPS), conducted separate traffic checks last week at Nickerie and Johannes Mungrastraat.
A total of twenty-six (26) road users who committed various traffic violations were fined.
This concerns driving without a seat belt on, driving without having a number plate attached to the vehicle, driving with a tinted windscreen, driving without a driving licence, using a manual telephone, not having insured the vehicle and driving with dazzling lights.
The KPS does a urgent appeal on all road users to comply with traffic rules.
