Polda Metro Jaya dismantled land mafia which involves the office National Land Agency (BPN). In practice, unscrupulous BPN officials abuse the complete systematic land registration (PTSL) which is a program of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
“In this case, we emphasize the misuse of PTSL. There are several modus operandi, for example, abusing the BPN RI account in the KKP application system,” said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran, at a press conference at the Metro Jaya Police, Jakarta, Monday (18/18). 7/2022).
Fadil revealed that there were even BPN office whose account was falsified. The former East Java Regional Police Chief said that the land mafia is an organized crime, a collaboration between individuals and criminals.

“There are even former BPN officials whose accounts were falsified. We together with the ranks of BPN are certainly determined to eradicate this organized crime, our synergy and enthusiasm with the teams at Polda Metro, especially in Jakarta, we will continue to enforce the law. On the same occasion, the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Hengki Haryadi, revealed the modus operandi of the suspects by BPN officials in this case. Hengki said that BPN officials were playing with land mafia replace citizen certificates with certificates that are not PTSL rights applicants.
“We found this fourth mode in the PTSL program. The certificate is ready. The victim on behalf of Sugiman has 37 square meters of land. The certificate has actually been completed but it seems as if it has been given to the victim, there is a substitute role figure,” said Hengki.
Hengki said that in the example of the case that happened to the victim on behalf of Sugiman, the alleged official from the BPN played an important role. The actions of the BPN elements were able to change the certificate data submitted by the applicant.
Not only changing the size of the land, BPN officials are also capable of committing crimes administratively. In the administrative data owned by BPN, it is as if the applicant’s certificate has been given to PTSL applicants.
“So, if it is checked, the administration has submitted it to the applicant. Then the identity of this certificate is changed, juridical then physical data and entered to the KKP for illegal access,” explained Hengki.
“And there was a change in identity and the victim’s land became wider 2,400 meters (square) but not in the name of the victim, but in another name. So the victim was the applicant and the land of other people was seized,” he added.
