The members of the Suriname Police Association today mandated the board to ensure that the unlawful/unlawful appointment of Shivanand Ramlall as Commissioner of Police by the President must be reversed by 10 a.m. on September 24, 2021. According to the members, the board must ensure that illegal and unlawful appointments no longer take place in the future.
They want all overdue decisions and resolutions by members to be rectified by September 24 at the latest. According to them, there has been a certain amount of diligence in getting the appointment of Ramlall in order.
Police officers sometimes have to wait years for their decision. They want all future promotions to be made with appropriate insignia and decision/resolution.
The board will address the motion of the members to the government on the appointment of Ramlall and present the result to the members in a meeting on September 24.
