The alleged ax murderer Elchin A. could face trial later this year. Detmold’s chief public prosecutor, Imig, has told the Westfalenblatt that he may face charges of murder and rape later this month. The report also makes it clear how investigators tracked down the 36-year-old.
A. created a new Facebook profile
It was therefore an IT specialist from the Bielefeld police who tracked down Elchin A. A. is said to have created a new Facebook account with a slightly different name while fleeing. The IT specialist found out about this and then asked for the login data with the help of Facebook. Among them was a cell phone number that eventually led to the suspected Kalletal ax murderer. The mobile phone was located in Brandenburg and Elchin A. arrested.
A. is said to have murdered a man
The 36-year-old was on the run for more than a month. He is said to have killed a man out of jealousy in mid-June and then raped his ex-girlfriend.
