Breisach: burglary in the kiosk – suspected perpetrators flee the police check

On Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 between 2:00 a.m. and 4:05 a.m., previously unknown perpetrators broke into a kiosk in Breisach. They used force to gain entry to the property and stole a large quantity of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Even before the Burglary became known to the police, a patrol from the Breisach police station noticed a car occupied by two people near the scene of the crime, which should then be subjected to a traffic check. However, the driver tried to evade control by escaping. The officials managed to stop the vehicle in the area of Halbmondstrasse in Breisach. The two occupants then jumped out of the car and fled on foot. Police found stolen property and burglary tools in the vehicle. Further investigations will show whether the two fugitives are the kiosk burglars. The Breisach police station is conducting further investigations.
