On Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 between 2:00 a.m. and 4:05 a.m., previously unknown perpetrators broke into a kiosk in Breisach. They used force to gain entry to the property and stole a large quantity of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Even before the Burglary became known to the police, a patrol from the Breisach police station noticed a car occupied by two people near the scene of the crime, which should then be subjected to a traffic check. However, the driver tried to evade control by escaping. The officials managed to stop the vehicle in the area of ​​Halbmondstrasse in Breisach. The two occupants then jumped out of the car and fled on foot. Police found stolen property and burglary tools in the vehicle.
