district Breisgau-Upper Black Forest, Titisee-Neustadt: In the night from Thursday to Friday, June 16 to 17, 2022, a traffic accident occurred shortly before midnight at a petrol station on the B31 between the Friedenweiler and Rötenbach junctions. The 64-year-old driver of a van drove backwards against the gas station building. When the accident was recorded, the police officers found the driver had a breath alcohol concentration of almost 2 per mille. Due to his heavy alcohol consumption and the Polish national’s lack of places to turn to, he had to be housed in the detention center until the next morning. He is now facing criminal proceedings for endangering the road traffic.
