On Wednesday afternoon, July 27th, 2022 at around 12:30 p.m., a physical altercation broke out between a 40-year-old driver, his 42-year-old passenger and another 26-year-old driver at the Freiburg-Nord motorway junction after a previous collision on the motorway several traffic offences.
According to the current status of the investigation, mutual acts of coercion and insults on the motorway had preceded them, which triggered a dispute between the two drivers and the passenger at the red traffic light at the Freiburg-Nord junction.
In the course of the argument, the 26-year-old pulled out a knife and tried to injure the two opponents. The two men were able to overpower him and hit him several times. All three involved suffered minor injuries.
