Freiburg: burglary in the furniture store – witnesses wanted

In the night from Sunday to Monday, January 30, 2023, previously unknown perpetrators broke into a furniture store on Hermann-Mitsch-Straße in Freiburg and purposefully broke open a safe there.
There is currently no concrete information about the amount of cash stolen.
The perpetrators had left behind an unusual wooden wedge with an individual number at the scene of the crime. This is probably an industrial production.
The Herdern police station (Tel.: 0761-296070) has taken over the investigation and is looking for witnesses who have made suspicious observations around the furniture stores on Herman-Mitsch-Strasse or who can provide information on the origin and use of the wooden wedge found.
