“Those who come if they violate the provisions of the health promotion and we will disperse the crowds,” said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Erwin Kurniawan when confirmed, Wednesday (23/6).
Not only that, said Erwin, if he is caught causing a crowd around the trial location, his party will also hold the mass coordinator accountable.
Erwin said that this was done because the Covid-19 pandemic was still happening in Jakarta. Moreover, the increase in positive confirmed cases recorded also continues to increase.
“And ask for accountability from the coordinators, considering that Jakarta is currently at the peak of the spread of COVID-19,” said Erwin.
Regarding the number of personnel that will be deployed for security, Erwin has not disclosed it.
“The police are always committed to securing the trial from the start so that it runs safely, orderly and smoothly,” he said.
Previously, the Deputy Secretary General of PA 212, Novel Bamukmin, claimed that his party did not have the authority to stop the crowd from attending the East Jakarta District Court during the sentencing.
