On the 40-ton truck with Czech registration, the police officers found, among other things, the massive engine oil leak, significant rust on the entire trailer and rust through the brackets of the side underrun protection, as the police report shows .
In addition, the loaded swap body of the truck was deformed to such an extent that the rear doors could no longer be closed properly. A further check revealed even more damage: among other things, a rusty and therefore loose exhaust pipe and damaged air suspension bellows on the rear axle.
According to the police, the defects were even more significant on the two-axle trailer, which had almost no braking effect on both axles. Due to the appalling shortages, further travel was immediately banned. The driver had to pay the costs of the technical check of around 400 euros and the fine of 205 euros on the spot.
