olice has shut down a large illegal New Years rave at London’s Royal Docks, and organizers face a £ 10,000 fine for violating coronavirus rules.
Footage from the scene in the riverside industrial district showed officers clearing the site, which was left littered with bottles and canisters of N20.
Officers said arrests were made, but it was not immediately clear how many.

Newham Police wrote on Twitter: “Tonight, officers have shut down a large unlicensed music event at Royal Docks.
“Arrests Made and Consideration of a £ 10,000 Fine for Violations of Covid-19 Legislation.”
It comes after police disbanded 60 partygoers after officers were called to an unlicensed music event on Kemp Road, Chadwell Heath last night.
Police said they dispersed the crowd and handed the rave organizer a £ 10,000 fine.

“We only intend to protect our communities and operate within Covid Tier 4 Legal Guidelines. Please help us help you, stay home, stay safe this New Year.
The Metropolitan Police had warned revelers to stay home and deployed additional officers to patrol the capital to catch those who broke the rules.
