A suspect died Thursday evening after being shot by police. This happened at Larixplein in Waalwijk, when a police arrest team wanted to arrest the 27-year-old man around a quarter past seven.
The area is heavily cordoned off. Emergency services, including a trauma helicopter, were on site, but could do nothing more for the shot suspect. It is not known why the police wanted to arrest the suspect.
The investigation into the event is with the National Criminal Investigation Department. The police are therefore not giving any more information.
