Authorities in the Philippines have raided a sugar mill allegedly owned by former Negros Oriental Governor Pryde Teves and seized roughly ₱18m ($355,000) in cash, as well as six rifles, nine pistols, and almost 10,000 rounds of live ammunition. The police arrested two security guards and a fire truck driver in connection with the raid. Teves, who is the president of the company owning the mill, is the brother of Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr, who is being linked to the assassination of Governor Roel Degamo. Arnolfo Teves is himself facing multiple complaints relating to illegal possession of firearms.
