“Police seek public’s assistance in locating escaped suspect from Brooklyn police custody”

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the individual who appears in a photo released by authorities escaping from police custody Monday in Brooklyn.

Joseph King, 21, was being transferred around 6 p.m. to Brooklyn Central Booking, located at 120 Schermerhorn Street.

King managed to free one hand from his handcuffs and fled the scene on foot.

The individual was last seen running toward the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Street subway station.

The subject is described as a male with black hair, brown eyes, a tattoo with the inscription “E4M” on his neck, a dark complexion, 5’7” tall and weighing approximately 145 lbs.
