Police searching for teen on the loose after 38-year-old man dies in Dallas

Authorities are searching for a teenager suspected in the shooting death of a 38-year-old man in Old East Dallas last week.

On Aug. 5, at 11:50 a.m., Dallas police responded to a call of a shooting in the 3500 block of Munger Avenue near McCoy Street. A preliminary investigation found that a man had been shot, police said in a statement. a press release on Monday.

The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead Sunday, six days after the shooting, police said. The Dallas County medical examiner’s office identified the fatal victim as Raul Torres, online records show.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant charging 17-year-old Francisco Bautista with murder, the statement said.

It was unclear whether Bautista had an attorney. He was not in Dallas County custody as of this writing, according to online records.
