A 36-year-old man was fatally stabbed near the Penn Station from New York, police said Friday.
The man was stabbed in the chest outside the busy transit center at 6 p.m. Thursday, authorities added. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The name of the victim, who appears to have been a homeless person, was not immediately released.
Police released surveillance camera photos of two men suspected of the attack. The man who police believe was the one who stabbed the victim was wearing a brown and white checkered jacket.
The stabbing took place one block from Macy’s flagship store on 34th Street, where thousands of people had gathered hours earlier for the Thanksgiving parade.
