THE DRAMA: At 11 o’clock on Sunday, the police received a call from a person who had received an unwanted man at the door in Betzy Kjelsbergs vei.
– We are a little unsure why the person rang people, but we think it may be because the man was going to hide, says operations manager Tommy Eriksen to Drammens Tidende.
Involved in accident
The reason must have been that the man, together with two others, had just been involved in a minor traffic accident in Store Landfall Øvre.
– They must have hit another car and run from the scene. It must have been low speed. We are in dialogue with the owner now, says Eriksen.
They are said to have driven a rental car, and ran in separate directions. The police are searching with several patrols and are also searching with dogs.
– Many people go for walks today, so it makes it a bit challenging for the dogs, says Eriksen.
Asking for tips
Eriksen says that they are happy to accept tips.
– Feel free to call us if you see anything. One man has a tattoo on his neck and is wearing an orange T-shirt. We are also looking for a man wearing sweatpants with white stripes on them. We do not have a definite description of the last one. Everyone speaks good Norwegian, says Eriksen.

Was going to write a damage report
Our reporter on the scene has spoken to the person who was in the car that was hit. He says that the three men were sitting in a van when they came towards his brand new car.
– I wondered if it was going to go well, which it didn’t, says the car owner, who does not want to be named.
The corner of the van hit the back of the car, and both had their tires punctured. There was also other damage to both cars.
– They stung when I asked if we should write a claim, he says.
