OUTPOST – The police are looking for a 71-year-old missing man from Buitenpost. The man has been missing since 5:45 PM on Saturday. A Burgernet message was already sent last night, but the man has still not been found.

This is a 71-year-old white man. He has a slim build, gray curly hair and wears round-framed glasses. He also wore a black jacket with a hood, dark blue jeans and brown boots without laces.
Police helicopter
The police helicopter also flew above Kootstertille recently, but without results. The search for the missing man continues this Sunday. The police helicopter was deployed again and flew above the Prinses Margriet Canal between Blauwverlaat and Kootstertille. Just after noon the helicopter disappeared again.
Around noon a police boat arrived to help search the water. There are several police vehicles on site and Mayor Oebele Brouwer of the municipality of Achtkarspelen is also present. The area has now been cordoned off.
