Police search for gunman who shot a girl in the face to death in New York – NBC New York

NEW YORKPolice are looking for the perpetrators of a shooting that killed a 17-year-old girl very early in an armed conflict in Brooklyn.

New York police said the shooting broke out at 1225 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights around 6pm when a gunman fired a barrage of shots at a group of people, hitting the innocent victim in the face.

The teenager’s only sin was being with some friends in front of her building when the wanted criminal opened fire and hit her in the face, according to authorities.

In their most recent report, investigators claimed that the girl was not the shooter’s target. A witness told our sister station NBC 4 New York that he had heard of three or four shots; when he looked out the window, he noticed the victim on the ground.

Paramedics took the girl to the hospital, but she later died of the gunshot wound.

Police were still on the scene looking for clues to find the gunman, of which they gave no information, while investigators try to determine why he opened fire on the group.

The tragic shooting in Brooklyn comes hours after at least 10 people, four of them bystanders, were injured in multiple reported shootings around New York City.
