Two female cyclists (33, 50) collided at the intersection of Borsbergstrasse and Müller-Berset-Strasse. The 33-year-old was seriously injured, the 50-year-old slightly injured.
The 50-year-old was riding a bicycle towards Fetscherplatz on Borsbergstrasse. When she turned left into Müller-Berset-Strasse, she collided with the 33-year-old on a pedelec. The latter was riding in oncoming traffic on Borsbergstrasse. The damage to property amounted to around 200 euros. (uh)
Core drilling machine stolen

Unknown persons broke into a construction site on Straße des 17. Juni and stole a core drilling machine.
The perpetrators forced open a window of the house under reconstruction. They searched the construction site and stole the drill with core bits worth around 1,200 euros. (kj)
Audi stolen

Unknown persons stole an Audi Q5 from Neuer Meßweg. The eight-year-old car is worth around 20,000 euros. The Audi also contained a folding bike and personal items with a total value of over 1,800 euros. (kj)
Six cars broken into in Löbtau and one in Pieschen

In the past few days, unknown persons have broken into six cars in Löbtau and one in Pieschen. They smashed a side window in each case. In most cases, they wanted to get hold of objects that were visible from the outside of the vehicles.
The perpetrators stole a fishing rod, three cartons of cigarettes and a pair of glasses with a total value of around 800 euros from a Toyota RAV4 on Grumbacher Strasse. The material damage amounts to around 500 euros.
A toy car worth around 25 euros was stolen from an Audi A5 on Braunsdorfer Straße. The material damage amounts to around 500 euros.
After breaking in, the perpetrators searched the center console and glove compartment of a VW Polo on Wernerstrasse. It is not yet known whether they stole anything. There is no information about the damage to property.
On Hirschfelder Strasse, the perpetrators broke into an Opel Combo and a Mercedes C-Class. From the Opel, they stole a cordless screwdriver worth around 120 euros, which was stored in the footwell. Further details of the damage are not yet available.
The perpetrators smashed a side window of a Mazda CX-5 on Hermsdorfer Strasse, but apparently did not get into the vehicle. They left behind property damage of around 500 euros.
The perpetrators stole a backpack and a bag with sportswear worth a total of around 150 euros from a BMW on Maxim Gorki Street. Information on the material damage is not yet available.
The police advise:
– Always close doors, windows, trunk and sunroof, even if you spend the night in the car!
– Do not leave any valuables or bags visible in the car, even if you only leave the vehicle for a short time! Never leave anything in the car or in the roof box!
– In case of theft, inform the police immediately! (uh)

Unknown persons damaged three cars on Hamburger Straße.
The perpetrators scratched the paintwork of a VW Caddy, a VW T6 and a VW Golf that were parked on a company premises. The material damage is estimated at 4,500 euros. (lr)
Workshop burned

A fire broke out in a workshop on Dohnaer Strasse on Thursday night. According to initial investigations, the fire started on the back wall of a hall that was open on three sides and where car parts were stored. There were no injuries. Information on material damage is not yet available. The police are investigating the cause of the fire. (uh)

Woman seriously injured in accident on A 13

Location: Schönfeld, A 13
A Hyundai Tucson (driver 49) and an Opel Grandland (driver 49) collided on Autobahn 13. The Opel driver was seriously injured.
Both vehicles were travelling on the A13 towards Berlin, the Hyundai in the left lane and the Opel in the right lane. For unknown reasons, the Hyundai ended up in the right lane and collided with the Opel. This caused both vehicles to skid and hit guard rails. Property damage amounting to around 65,000 euros was caused. The motorway had to be closed in the direction of Berlin until around 6:45 p.m. for rescue and recovery operations. (uh)
Woman cheated out of around 19,000 euros

Fake bank employees withdrew around 19,000 euros from a woman’s account.
The scammers called the woman and pretended to be employees of her bank. They claimed that there had been false bookings and persuaded the woman to log into her online banking and provide details. She was then asked to leave her online banking inactive for 48 hours. The woman became suspicious, checked her account and noticed the debit. When she then called her bank on the usual number, the fraud was cleared up. She informed the police.
The police advise:
– Don’t let yourself be pressured on the phone!
– Do not disclose personal account details or TAN numbers over the phone or online!
– Talk to relatives or trusted people if you receive such calls!
– If you suspect anything, contact the police! (uh)
E-scooter stolen

In recent days, unknown persons have broken into two garages on the street An der Elbe.
The perpetrators gained access to the garages by unknown means. From one of them they stole a jukebox and alcoholic drinks with a total value of around 450 euros. (lr)

Garbage can burned

Unknown persons set fire to a paper waste bin at a house entrance on Dohnaische Strasse. Residents pushed the bin to the middle of the sidewalk so that no major damage was caused. The fire brigade put out the fire. There were no injuries. The damage amounts to around 400 euros. (uh)
Accident with raccoon dog

A Skoda Enyaq (driver 40) collided with a raccoon dog on the S 156. The 40-year-old was travelling from Bischofswerda towards Neustadt when the animal ran onto the road and collided with the car. It did not survive the collision. The damage to the Skoda is estimated at around 2,000 euros. (kj)
