(CNN) — It’s the kind of thing you see in movies. For a California police officer, it was just a day’s work.
Officer Erica Urrea saw a man in a wheelchair who appeared to be stuck on the train tracks, according to a news release from the Police Department in Lodi, near Sacramento.
On Wednesday morning as the arms of the railroad crossing began to descend, Urrea sprang into action, leaping from his patrol and running towards the 66-year-old.
With the train’s horn louder, he grabbed the man out of his wheelchair and pulled him off the tracks just in time, the Police Department said.
And thanks to Urrea’s body camera, the entire rescue, which lasted 45 seconds, was captured on video.

In the images, Urrea runs out of his patrol car and asks the man if he can get up as she tries to lift him out of the train path.
“Get up, get up, get up,” he yells.
Urrea and the man fall backwards and, in 5 seconds, while the two lie on the ground, the train passes at full speed and barely brushes them.
“Officer Urrea risked her own life to save someone else and her actions prevented a tragedy today,” the department said in a statement. “We are very proud of Agent Erica Urrea and her heroism.”
Police have not released the identity of the 66-year-old man, who suffered a leg injury and was taken to a local hospital.
