Police reveal suspect doctor terrorist with the initials SU who was shot dead in Sukaharjo, Central Java (Central Java), is a member of the Hilal Ahmar Society Indonesia (HASI). SU, who was a member of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist network, was shot and killed for resisting when he was arrested.
The information was delivered by Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan. Ramadhan said SU was in charge of the HASI management.
“SU’s involvement was as a member of the JI terrorist organization, then he also served as a solemn emir whose position was deputy for da’wah and information and he was also the person in charge of Hilal Ahmar Society Indonesia (HASI),” Ramadhan said during a virtual press conference, Thursday (10/10). /3/2022).
For information, SU was arrested by the Anti-terror Detachment 88 of the National Police on Wednesday (9/3) at around 21.15 WIB on Jalan Bekonang Sukoharjo, Cendana Oli, Sukoharjo. SU is a resident of Sukoharjo, Central Java. When arrested, SU put up a fight.
“As for Mr. SU’s arrest, he fought aggressively against the officers,” he said.
SU by Profession as a Doctor
Reporting from detikJateng, Secretary of The Islamic Study and Action Center (ISAC) Surakarta, who has been actively advocating for cases related to the arrest of suspected terrorists, Endro Sudarsono, said his party had received complaints from the families of SU victims.
“The victim is Dr Sunardi, who has been practicing at the Ulul Albab Islamic Boarding School, Polokarto, Sukoharjo. His house is in Bendosari, Sukoharjo,” said Endro Sudarsono to detikJateng, Thursday (10/3).
In addition, from the Sukoharjo Police, it was known that Dr Sunardi was dead when he was arrested by Densus 88. Furthermore, the Sukoharjo Police offered the family to pick up Dr Sunardi’s body, which is currently at the Bhayangkara Hospital Semarang.
“What the arrest process was like to end with the victim’s death, so far we and the family don’t know yet. Our team at ISAC is currently still coordinating with the family,” said Endro.
