Police Reveal the Motives of the Kidnapping Actors in Gunung Sahari Driven by Sexual Desire

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Central Jakarta Police Chief Commissioner Komarudin revealed, Iwan Sumarno’s motive for kidnapping MA (6) in the Gunung Sahari area, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/12/2022) was due to sexual desire for children.

“The motive of the suspect in kidnapping was originally just wanting to make children or bring children, then it was revealed that the suspect had a desire for children, for this it was sexual,” said Komarudin, quoted from BetweenThursday (12/1/2022).

Komarudin said the perpetrators not only invited MA to scavenge, but also sexual activities which are currently being investigated by the police and the Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (P2TP2A).

“The motive that was revealed in this case was that it was not just asking to work but there was another desire, but of course deeper proof is needed even though the post mortem results we got showed no signs of sexual violence,” he said.

Komarudin explained that the perpetrators would be charged according to multiple articles, namely Article 330 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) concerning kidnapping and Article 76 letter C, Article 76 letter i, and Article 80 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.

For information, a girl with the initials MA (6), a resident of Central Jakarta, who was a victim of kidnapping and was found has been taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for medical treatment.

The MA, who was found in the Cipadu Market area, Tangerang City, has been taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital to undergo a health check after nearly a month of being kidnapped.

Upon arrival at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital on Tuesday (3/1/2023) in the morning, MA was immediately taken to the Emergency Room (IGD) and examined by the Police Medical and Health Center (Pusdokkes).

MA was kidnapped by the perpetrator, namely Iwan Sumarno alias Jacky alias Herman alias Yudi on December 7 2022 until he was found on the night of January 3 2023.
