Dr Kariadi Hospital, Semarang, caught fire tonight. The police uncovered the source of the fire from the Cassowary Building.
“There was a fire in the Kasuari Building, the medical record room,” said Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar at the location, Jalan dr Sutomo, Semarang, Thursday (12/30/2021).
Irwan explained, the fire occurred around 19:00 WIB. At the time of the incident, there was no sound of an explosion from the location of the hospital opposite the Semarang Polrestabes office, but the fire was quite large. Immediately after the fire appeared, the patient evacuation process was immediately carried out so that currently there are no reported casualties.
“As many as 31 patients have been evacuated and transited in the Garuda Room,” said Irwan.
“This can be controlled by dozens of fire engines,” he said.
Monitoring at the location, as of 20.03 WIB, the process of extinguishing the fire is still being carried out. The access road on Jalan dr. Sutomo in front of the hospital is temporarily closed for fire handling.
