Police uncover cases deadly poison who killed Hani Dwi Susanti (30) in Klaten, Central Java, it turned out to be the wrong target. The suspect, who is the victim’s brother-in-law, Sarbini (50), intends to kill Sigit Nugroho (39), who is none other than Hani’s husband.
“Information from the alleged perpetrator said the target was the victim’s husband, Sigit,” said Klaten Police Chief AKBP Eko Prasetyo when met by reporters at the Solo Police Headquarters, Tuesday (2/11/2021).
But, Eko continued, the one who died due to the poison in the drink was Hani.
“The victim (the target’s wife) is the victim (of the poison),” he said.
Eko said from the suspect’s statement, the motive for the deadly poison was revenge. However, Eko has not said much about Sarbini’s revenge motive until his eyes are dark.
“As stated, the suspect’s motive is revenge,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the suspect Sarbini had fled because of fear after the action. The police eventually arrested him in Wonogiri.
“Yes, he was afraid. Fear of the possibility of committing a criminal act, there must be fear, so he ran,” said Kaur Bin Ops Satreskrim Klaten Police Iptu Eko Pujianto to reporters at the Klaten Police Headquarters, Tuesday (2/11).
Eko explained that after receiving the report and conducting an investigation, the perpetrator turned to the person concerned. The police then gave chase to Wonogiri.
“So he was caught at a friend’s house in Eromoko District, Wonogiri Regency. Arrested Tuesday (2/11) early morning,” he said.
