Investigator of the Ditreskrimum Renakta Sub-Directorate East Java Police revealed the reason for the domestic violence (KDRT) that the actress allegedly suffered Melinda came by her husband, Ferry Irawan.
Kasubdit Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda Jatim AKBP Hendra Eko Triyulianto said the misunderstanding sparked quarrels between the two.
“For reasons, there was a misunderstanding between the family and the husband and wife. There was an argument,” Hendra said in Surabaya on Monday (9/1).
The discussion then culminated in allegations of domestic violence at a hotel in Kediri City, East Java, on Sunday (8/1).
This was stated by the Director of General Criminal Investigations (Dirreskrimum) of the East Java Regional Police, Kombes Totok Suharyanto.
“The complaint was domestic violence. Her husband reported it. V is still under investigation. It happened on Sunday (8/1) morning. Place at the Kediri City hotel,” he said.
He said the report was originally made to the Kediri City Police. However, the investigators handed it over to the East Java Regional Police, and it is managed by the Renakta Sub-Directorate.
“The Kediri city police have delegated it to the regional police. [Ditangani] Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda East Java. “We are currently in the process of conducting an initial inspection,” she said.
Confession is often threatened by domestic violence
Furthermore, Hendra said that from her report, Venna Melinda admitted that she often received allegations of threats to violence Ferry Irawan. Venna’s statement, she said, was obtained during interrogation at the police headquarters in East Java, Surabaya.
“From the testimony of the victim [Venna]the reported [Ferry] they often make threats of violence to the victims,” Hendra said.
Ferry, he said, often threatened Venna with physical violence. But in the meantime it is known that the violence itself was committed only once against the accused.
“[Ancaman kekerasan] physicist. Often according to the victim. It only happened once yesterday,” she said.
In this incident, Venna was said to have suffered a bleeding wound on his nose. This was allegedly after receiving violence in the form of pressure on the head from Ferry.
However, police have yet to name Ferry as a suspect. He is still being questioned as a witness
“It is still in progress, [Ferry] one more witness,” Hendra said.
