TYTSJERK – The emergency services responded en masse to Tytsjerk just after 11 a.m. on Saturday. In a house on Noarderein – near the railway crossing – a threatening situation had arisen with a man. He would be a danger to himself.
The road around the house was closed off at a large distance on both sides by the police for safety. In addition to the police, the fire brigade, several ambulances and an arrest team also arrived on the scene.
As a precaution, many officers wore bulletproof vests. The Special Interventions Service also arrived on site to assist.
Arrest
Ultimately, a man was arrested. He would have been a danger to himself. An arrest team took action and entered a home. A negotiator would have been deployed for this, Omrop Fryslân reports.
The man was taken away by the police after his arrest – around 1:30 p.m.
