Several police cars and an ambulance were called this evening to a report of a shooting on Hilversumstraat in Noord. It turned out that a man had been injured.
The emergency services were alerted around 10:30 p.m. A police spokesperson says that much is still unclear. The victim has a wound that is suspected to be a gunshot wound, but investigations have yet to determine whether a shot was actually fired.
Ambulance personnel entered the apartment with a stretcher, but according to bystanders the victim was able to walk to the ambulance herself. He reportedly indicated in the ambulance that he did not want to be taken to the hospital.
In addition, someone was arrested in the immediate area around 11:15 p.m. It was still unknown tonight whether that arrest was related to the possible shooting.
