Suspect jumps off the roof while escaping – critically injured
During a search in the Brandenburg district of Spree-Neisse, an accused jumped seven meters from the roof. The man was there on Tuesday morning critically injured, announced the police and public prosecutor in Dessau-Roßlau on Wednesday. The search warrant and the arrest warrant from the Dessau-Roßlau district court are related to criminal proceedings several years ago. Police officers from Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt were involved in the action.
According to current knowledge, the officials rang the doorbell of the accused, as it was said. When he saw the officers, he climbed out of the roof window onto the roof ridge and shortly afterwards jumped into the depths. He was taken to a clinic by rescue helicopter.
Evidence related to the alleged act had been secured in the accused’s home, the police and public prosecutor said.
