The car was spotted by the officers because of the driver’s unusual attitude. He was very close to the wheel, a police spokesperson said. The reason for this soon became clear. The car was so dirty that the man could hardly sit in it. Because there were also several objects in the footwell of the driver’s seat, they could have ended up under the brake pedal.

“This can slow down the braking distance, especially in a dangerous situation,” said the police spokesperson. Also, the car had not been inspected for some time. The man was given a deadline to thoroughly clean his car. The man’s violations have been passed on to the German Road Traffic Agency. It is not known whether he also received a ticket.
