It was ten-year-old David Hegre from Sandnes who lost his life in a fall accident in Sirdal last Saturday.
The name will be released in consultation with relatives, writes West Police District in a press release.
The boy fell down a cliff of about ten meters while on a trip with his family. The emergency services responded, and he was transported to Stavanger University Hospital (SUS) by air ambulance.
His life could not be saved and the ten-year-old died of his injuries in hospital. The police have concluded that it was all an accident.
– The police have no reason to believe that it is anything other than a tragic fall accident, says police attorney Maren Aarbakke.
The fire crews who were on the scene reported that the weather was bad and wet in the terrain where the accident took place.
