The police are looking for 17-year-old Sam Hooftman from Overveen, near Haarlem. The boy went home by bicycle in Heemstede in the night from Wednesday to Thursday, but did not arrive there. A police spokesperson called the disappearance “urgent”.
According to the boy’s family, it is not like him not to make himself heard. “There are several circumstances that make this an urgent missing person. This is one of them,” says the police spokesperson.

The boy left around 00:40 on his bicycle. He had been to a party with friends near Heemstede-Aerdenhout station. The police like to get in touch with people who have a camera hanging outside that Sam may have been filming with.
