“Police Reconstruction Results on David Jacobs’ Mysterious Death near Gambir Station, Jakarta”

The police have carried out a reconstruction of the trip David Jacobs from Gambir Station until found lying unconscious on the edge of the Gambir-Juanda railway line. So what’s the result?

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin said the reconstruction was carried out on Saturday (29/4/2023) yesterday. He explained that if David walked to the crime scene it would take about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, from the existing timeline, David’s journey from Gambir station to the crime scene only took two minutes.

“We have repeatedly simulated it, because indeed for movement from Gambir to the TKP, we tried it yesterday, it takes 10 minutes of brisk walking. Meanwhile in the timeline there are only 2 minutes, between 20.28 to 20.30,” said Komarudin when contacted, Sunday (30/4/2023).

Thus, the temporary suspicion of death was that the paratennis athlete jumped from the train after previously boarding the wrong train.

“And the closest thing to it is only by train journey. But if it’s for a shift in location, why did the victim from Gambir Station, 2 minutes away, get there, we almost believe it was the wrong train,” he said.

“Meanwhile, the train that the deceased was supposed to be traveling to Solo had not yet arrived at Gambir. So if going to Solo it was heading south, to Juanda it was going north and vice versa. The position found was in the north direction, the opposite direction,” he added.

However, continued Komarudin, what remains a mystery is David’s final position. The police are still trying to find out if David really jumped or if there is another possibility.

Komarudin said that until now there had been no CCTV that had captured David’s movements from the train, until he was found unconscious lying on the side of the train track with a head wound.

“Right now, what we are still investigating is why the person concerned is below. That is what we are still exploring. Later, it will be seen, hopefully from the autopsy results, any injuries on his body, whether there were sharp wounds or not,” he explained.

For information, David was found lying on the side of the rail track on Thursday (27/4/2023) at 21.22 WIB. Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa confirmed that David was found lying on the side of the tracks.

“The identity of the victim is Dian David Mickael Jacobs,” said Eva in her statement, Friday (28/4/2023).

Eva said the victim was found by officers. Then the officers immediately took the victim to Husada Hospital, Central Jakarta. He insists no train hit David.

“It’s normal. This means that from the train report there were no reports of temper tantrums by residents crossing the elevated rail line. In our data, there are no trains crashing into that line,” said Eva.
