Aziz was probably killed by firearms violence in another place, after which his body – possibly with a van – was taken to the Hambos in Kerkrade. It is striking that the man in his thirties was found with a rolled up balaclava over his head.

Neighbour
In the night of Tuesday 8 to Wednesday 9 March, Aziz left his home on Doctor Ackensplein around 3:00 am. He told his wife that he was going to the neighbor who was not at home. At about 7:30 a.m., the hiker found Aziz’s body. What happened in those 4.5 hours? That’s what the police want to know.

According to the police, two striking events took place that night: a possible shooting in the Heerlen district of Vrieheide and a silver-colored van driving on the Nullanderbergsweg, a street that ends in Kerkrade. Aziz’s body was near Nullanderbergsweg. The events may be related.
Police are calling on witnesses to come forward.
