The police raided several homes in Rotterdam around 09:00 this morning. Arrest teams searched for suspects and weapons related to shelling in Rotterdam-Feijenoord.
The raids included the Tweebosbuurt, Oud Crooswijk and Mathenesse, reports Rijnmond.
In recent months, there have been at least thirteen shootings at people and homes in Rotterdam-Feijenoord. The police see a connection between some of them. Neighbors say to the regional broadcaster that drugs were the cause of the violence.
An 18-year-old Rotterdammer was arrested a week and a half ago in a house in Spijkenisse. He is said to have been involved in shelling homes in Rotterdam and is still incarcerated.
