Police officers of the Athens Security Sub-Directorate raided on Thursday night a house in the center of Athens where drugs were being trafficked and illegal gambling was being conducted.
A 50-year-old foreigner was arrested for drug trafficking, violation of personal data legislation and dishonesty. In addition, a case was filed against him, as well as against 5 foreigners, aged 38, 40, 44 and 51, who were arrested, for violation of gambling legislation.
In particular, according to ELAS, in the context of investigating information regarding a house in the center of Athens, in which drug trafficking takes place, the police detected and certified the illegal activity.
In addition, a felt-covered table, playing cards and sums of money used by the defendants for betting during the game were found inside the house.
As part of the investigation, the following were found and seized:
- 247.5 grams heroin,
- 0.87 grams cocaine,
- 26.4 grams white powder, of unknown chemical composition,
- precision electronic scale,
- recorder with 2 cameras,
- the sum of 790 euros and
- 8 mobile phones.
Those arrested were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
