Police were to arrest two wanted persons when they were attacked.

A police patrol at Mortensrud was attacked by 20-30 young people in connection with the arrest of two people in a criminal case, the Oslo Police reports on Twitter on Monday night.
– We were at Mortensrud with a patrol to arrest two people, who were wanted in a criminal case, out in the public space, says operations manager Gjermund Stokkli to VG.
– During the arrest, the patrol is attacked by 20-30 young people who throw objects and go on a physical attack. The patrol then pulls the baton and a basket attack occurs, he says.
He says a policeman was hit in the face, but he was not physically injured. According to Stokkli, the young people are between 15-20 years old.
The operations manager explains that reinforcements quickly arrived at the scene, and that they then gained control of the situation.
– No one was arrested and reported there and then, but we know who many of them are, so reviews come afterwards. The two we were there to arrest have been taken into custody.
The police state that they have control of the place, but that they will stay at Mortensrud for a while.
